Paso Robles Vacation Rentals Added to Winemakers’ Cookoff® Accommodation-Ticket Discount Package Program
Rotary Expands Participation to Include More 30 Weekend Rental Properties
Paso Robles, CA, May 2, 2011 – The Paso Robles Rotary Club announced a novel expansion of its discounted weekend accommodation-ticket packages for attendees of its Winemakers’ Cookoff® coming Saturday, August 6. To continue to encourage extended stay and out-of-the-area attendance at the Cookoff and participation in its “Make It a Winemakers’ Weekend,” lodging-ticket discounts will now include 40 weekend vacation rental properties managed by Paso Robles Vacation Rentals. The discounted rental accommodation packages will be paired with coupons for Winemakers’ Cookoff discount admissions.
“Lodging-ticket packages proved their potential for our attendees last year and the addition of the participating Atascadero hotels will enhance the number of discounted rooms available during the weekend of our event for attendees from out of the area,” said Sharon Ross, the 2011 Rotary Winemakers’ Cookoff chair. “Again, we are encouraging participating Cookoff wineries to add events and discounts during the Cookoff weekend. It’s a great way for us to boost event attendance and weekend visits to our area as well as give a shot to the local economy.”
Lodging discounts and restrictions may vary by specific rental property. During its thirteen-year history, the Paso Robles Winemakers’ Cookoff has become one of Paso Robles’ most-popular wine, food and music events. It is also one of its most unique. The Cookoff features not just local wines, but the culinary talents of more than 30 of the appellation’s winemakers. Participating wineries pair their culinary creations with their finest wines and compete for both Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice awards the day of the event. Since the first Winemakers’ Cookoff in 1999, proceeds from the Winemakers’ Cookoff have been deposited in Rotary’s Harlow Ford Scholarship Foundation building a perpetual fund that has enabled the Paso Robles Rotary Club to award scholarships exceeding $350,000 as well as build a perpetual fund that will help guarantee future scholarship benefits.
